The rapid development and continued success of CADS SMART Scaffolder software has created exciting opportunities for 2 experienced Scaffolding Design Engineers to join our creative, innovative and dedicated development team. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a motivated experienced scaffolding designer to join a fast moving, successful business where they can make a real difference in a highly sought-after role.

Role & responsibilities:

Provide detailed specifications for a wide variety of access scaffolding schemes Ensuring all designs adhere to the latest UK and International standards and codes of practice Prove the structural integrity of all types of scaffolding through appropriate computer analysis and detailed engineering calculations Document practical procedures for erection and dismantling of

scaffolding Provide technical guidance and advice colleagues and management.

Qualifications:

BEng/MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering.

5 Years relevant scaffolding industry experience, on site and in design office. Overseas experience e.g. in UAE / Middle East would be an advantage.

Knowledge of British and European

Standards: BS EN 12811-1, BS 5975

and BS EN 1991

Design of all types of access scaffolding: Construction,petrochemical, energy and other industries, both onshore and offshore.

Practical knowledge of scaffold design in variety of industrial and other configurations Experienced in design of leading brands of System-Scaffolding plus traditional Tube & Fitting

Expert user of AutoCAD for 2D CAD drawings. 3D modelling skills would also be an advantage!

Construction health and safety awareness

Excellent Microsoft Office skills,

especially Excel and Word

Fluent in English. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Commercial awareness, are attention to detail, enjoy working in a team, passionate about design.
